WELCOME TO THE GREEN ADVENTURE SERIES

In celebration of the Global Recycling Day, ESWATINI RECYCLING BONANZA presents: NGWENYA HALF MARATHON, a Green Adventure Series, raising awareness on waste collection and recycling in Eswatini. The Start and finish is at Ngwenya Glass Factory, Eswatini's number touristic and recycling destination. Since 1987, Ngwenya Glass has been making glassware in Swaziland/Eswatini from 100% recycled glass. Building upon a reputation of quality, functionality, beauty & social impact.

THE ROUTE OVERVIEW

The Green runs, 21km half marathon heads towards Ngwenya border and turns half way, then runs through the main high way (MR3) with an elevation of about 1530m to the royal palace off-ramp and turns back with a good descent to the finishing line. The 10km follows the same route. The 8.5km Green walk heads to Ngwenya Mine, the oldest mine in the world with splendid breathtaking views. The 5km Green walk heads to the beautiful and historical Ngwenya Village. Green wheelies will feature a 10km on unicycle and short ride for the wheel chair participants.

REGISTRATION AND COLLECTION

Registration opens January 16th and closes 24th of March 2023. 1st fully paid 100 participants will receive a reusable shopping bag. Goodie bag collection at Ngwenya Glass Friday 24th from 8am-4:30pm and Saturday 24th: 5:30am.
